I only got 1 master key left....and after the break in in my car i've opted 2 get an upgrated alarm system!

problem is that i only got 1 key! 2-way pager alarm requires 2 master keys, or atleast a valet, which i lost!!!!!!

Found seller off ebay that for 99$ +$10 more to cut the key, will make it for me..

Here is the problem: they require your ownership/insurance card + vin...
After the key is obtained, your master key re-programs the key they provide!

I'm scarred that maybe since they have my vin/ownership, they will come and rob my car!! Since they can easy make a copy again.

is this possible? i've already been robbed once, i don't wanna get robbed again, U feel me?

What should i do? go through these guys? or pay a lot more and go through lexus????

I believe that's the ebay ID for Sewell Lexus / Lexus-parts.com . If so, then you should be fine... they're one of our CL vendors and do an excellent job.

Of course anytime you send stuff like that out of your control something bad could happen... but if you're in CA and they're in TX they'll really have to work for it

dave, one question....

I still have 2 program the new cut key 2 start the motor with my master key!!!

Does that mean they can't start the car?
Can they still get into it if its not programed? ie: open the doors etc?

well, can't they just ship the copy key 2 a friendhere in CA and say tax me...????

but the real question is......can the new cut key...start the car/open doors even if i dont' program it with the master key?

the new key will open the door, but the buttons wont work or it wont start the car b/c those functions need to be programmed to work to each car SPECIFICALLY using the master key.

There is still a feeling that i don't like about giving my info 2 people, specially after hearing about this guys car was stolen because the thiefts had a key!
