Talking Burnout Videos + L-Tuned Exhaust on GS300

Burnout Video.

Right Click, Save Target As...
http://www.ProjectGS.com/burnout_video.wmv

Video might download a bit slow Just have some patience

EDIT:
Oh yeah, remember that screw in the tire?
Watch the second burnout closely. You will see sparks flying

Edit again:
I re-did the video and reduced the music volume. That way you can hear the music of the engine a little better. For those of you who just got a L-Tuned on the group buy (and are dying to hear what it sounds like), say thank you

Addition. July 3, 2006.
Heh.....just a little fun I had today. Man these Eagle F1's DON'T WEAR OUT! I think I can do at least 15 more of these

Remember that 100ft burnout I was talking about.....well....!!!
My camcorder didn't record....I was SOOOO PISSED !! @_@ !! At least I got a pic with my camera!

Ok oK, it's not 100ft....more like 50-60ft lol. Just wait till tomorrow

This is my favorite pic, and coincidentally the background on my desktop...heh

Below image shows a better perspective of how long the burnout really was.

Look foward to the July 4th video. It's gona be a REAL Smokeshow! I think I might put a few screws in my tires just to spark it up

So...traction control off, step on brakes, rev to 2,500rpm, and release brakes? Doesn't the brakes engage the rear wheels? Does this hurt the transmission or just kill the thread life of a 275/35/19 $500 set of tires? Looks awesome.

Thanks for the compliments. It took me like 30mins just to compile a 1min 37sec video
Burnout was fun, but I still have some tread left. Maybe another session tomorrow?

Yes, they are G35 Coupe wheels.

Traction off, step on gas and hold brakes until rear tires break loose, then increase your rpm till you get close to redline (5500-6000rpm)...but don't bounce around at redline. You will need to hold the brakes progressively harder as your revs increase, but just barely enough so the car doesn't roll foward. The front brakes a several times stronger than the rear brakes, so the front wheels are held in place while the rears spin. I guess it hurts everything in the car...engine, tranny, brakes, TIRES! But hey, what fun is it if theres no risk

As for the tires, they were pretty much gone anyway 5% tread or less. I was just burning these out so I could install the new set sitting in my garage.

Great Vid The exhaust does sound nice, I wonder how a couple of extra cylinders will improve that sound?

Nice vid. I actually tried to do a burnout yesterday while I was stopped at a light. This guy in a S-class was just looking at my like I was crazy for trying that in a Lexus (hater). Damn I really wanted that exhaust but they told me they had none left. I can't believe I missed out on that gb, that was such a good deal.

Default video!

Nice video! I was curiuos to know if those were Rotora brakes on your front set up? I am looking for a spare due to having a BBK, and was informed that the G35 stock wheel will clear the BBK?

Actually I have the SupraTT brakes. I heard these are the biggest sized calipers, but not sure. Anyways the G35 Coupe 18" wheels clear them and there is still about 1/2 inch or so of clearance.
