I keep seeing people writing how they like the white exterior with black interior on the GS. I remember when I used to work at the hospital I saw a white/black GS and thought, "that's an ugly color combo, like wearing white shoes with black sox". Also the reason I got my GS black on black. I don't like the tan interior on black cars. I don't know just my opinion, not trying to knock anybody we all have our taste. But the black interior is nice.

 

well im not very happy with the color of my car i have a 01 onyx black GS and is the worst car to keep clean you can see all the scratches on the car and when it gets dirty it look like brown LOL. and also my interio is even worst i have a tan interior and its a pain in the *** to get it clean some stains are there for life they just dont come off oh yeah what about the seatbelts thats where it get better i was thinking of getting black seat belts thats how dirty mine is. my wife has a RX300 who i call the perfect car she has gray on black and its just perfect. my conclusion is a black in interior for me is the best color when it comes to looks and keeping it clean but a black car is a pain in the butt.

 

White on black is one of the rarest combos for the GS. It's actually the one that I wanted but it was just soooo hard to find. Maybe I will do an interior conversion later on

 

I deffinetly lucked out, mine feel into my lap at work. Snagged it up fast. It's nice with tinted windows the black interior hides better.

While people slave away on maintaining a scratch free dark colored exterior or an emaculate stain free light colored interior, I'll be relaxing and thinking how lucky I am to have a white on black.

 

I have white and tan. Wish I had white and black tho. Anyone know how much it would be to convert the whole interior to black minus the seats and headrests?

I prefer black on black. I looked long and hard for my black on black. It matches my Miata, which is also black on black.
Having all black vehicles can be a pain sometimes, but once you get it down keeping them clean and crisp looking is pretty simple.

To me white cars look like rental cars. It took me a long time to come around to liking silver also. I always figured you paid for paint, why did you paint it the same color as metal? LOL

 

White/Black I believe was made only for 98/99 400, not 300. Very rare. Most Lexus customers want beige leather.
Lexus seems to do this every model year with a new car even the ES/IS/GS/LS. They sell white/black maybe the first year or two of production, it doesn't sell, they discontinue it.

I also have a white/black ES 300 manual, which is rare.
They made 2001 LS 430s white/black, very very rare.
There are more white/black 1IS and even 2IS, since its a sporty combination and that is Lexus sportiest car.

Very expensive and involved, it's been done before by Bluelex, do a search for the thread, the biggest problem with the tan interior is that ugly brown used on the dash.
