Werd. i think thats the other reason why I went with the GS instead of the 540i. If I had warranty on both cars, 540i would be on my driveway right now. But I can't complain with the GS. I've only had to replace the starter.

I too was also looking at the 5 Series BM. The handling was nice but I wanted a more comfy ride and the GS was just that. After reading about the problems of BMW's and seeing it for myself, I went with the GS.

And for me, straight line performance was enough, so GS400 it was. I haven't looked back, but have looked forward to the upcoming releases from Lexus. I will be in the Toyota and Lexus family for a long time.

i never knew that i will end up having a GS-for so long i've been looking for a supra TT5sp. with no luck in sight, my friend told me that i should check out the GS (since i'm a toyota person) because for any reason whenever me and my family has a formal gathering/dinner the only car that i could bring is the mr2-which is only a two seater of course when i saw the specs of the 400 and amenities ans such, i went straight to autotrader and saw one at jim falk (bev.hills) saw the add on friday (no pix!) a.m. took it home same day and went traight to vegas for the whole weekend til 'then up until now i'm still this car than anything else

I drove 5 hours to OH. Didn't buy it there. I drove another 5 hours to NY, and got my GS4. Never regret.

I bought a brand new Camry as a beater the next year. 5 months later I sold the Camry. I just couldn't live without the GS4.

This truly is funny, because before picking up my 1996 GS I too was eyeballying the 5series BMW's.

The feeling was actually better the day I got the GS300 then the GS400, only because it was my first ever luxury car and I was younger so it felt like so much of an accomplishment to enter the Lexus dealership and leave with such a nice car.

I can't believe this, but on Saturday I actually saw someone drivng my 1996 GS300, it even had the Clublexus stickers still on it!!! I was going crazy, I could not believe I was looking at my old car!
