Default veilside carbon fiber hood...

well right now i am in the market for a hood...so far i like the toms hood the best, HKS hood, and the veilside (dave's setup)..

toms: too pricey...even i cant justify spending THAT much for JUST a HOOD
HKS hood: my friend dr. ricky has that so i want something different...
veilside: i love it! the only part i dont care for is the prutruding part in the front? BUT i think it would match the JP grill...

and honestly i think dave's GS is the cleanest here in CL...and i know he has the veilside hood...

so i did some research and i wanted to pick up the veilside carbon fiber hood for the GS...but i have some questions...

how is the fitment?
price? I check on veilsideusa website and i see "TBD"
single sided? double sided?
dry or wet cf?

again thank you very much. at the same time i email veilside usa for the details...

aloha,

cody

Fitment from speaking to Rick who use to have the hood on his red gs430 wasn't to great. Not bad when I saw it in person a couple times but not too great.. 2nd I remember him telling me that you could only use the veilside grill with that hood and that his rod millen grill at the time wouldn't fit cuz the Veilside hood's grill section was different from a oem hood's grill section( I doubt you want to exchange your JP grill for a veilside). Dave could probably confirm if this is true. 3rd looks. the veiside looks good on dave's car cuz he has a nice agressive front win front bumper and sides that flow with the pretty aggressive looking Veilside hood plus his car is blk which hides the aggrssive lines of the hood and make it look so darth vader like Silver would stick out a lot more. I'm not sure how that would look with a tte lip unless your planning to change fronts with the hood.?

I agree with bluelex. I would go for the HKS. The Veilside is nice but the front bulge by the grill isnt the nicest. You dont notice it on Daves because of the color. Also, the grill wont fit unless you modify it. Just the Veilside one...

Cool

I noticed nopi.com had a carbon fiber hood for the GS, it looks OEM except its carbon fiber.

I would go with the HKS hood Cody, that way you can keep your JP grille
