Hello everyone! I'm the new owner of a silver/black 1998 GS400 and a new CL member. Just wanted to introduce myself and post a few pictures. I spend most of my year in Knoxville, TN as a student at UT but I live in Little Rock, AR. The car had a little over 68,000 miles on it when it was purchased 2 weeks ago, and somehow I managed to put almost 2,000 more miles on it since then. I love this car! The pictures below were taken by the small dealership in Iowa from which the car was purchased. It had one previous owner who lived in a suburb of Chicago, and I'm hoping there won't be any issues caused by the climate difference between its original home and my hot & humid places of residence. I had the windows tinted with 20% film 2 days after I got the GS and I replaced the stock brown-looking wedge blubs with Polarg M4 bulbs, but those are only the first of my many planned mods. My soon-to-do list includes replacing the stock Nakamichi stereo completely with aftermarket equipment, purchasing new rims and tires, and various suspension/handling upgrades. I'll eventually get around to more substantial mods such as a PI torque converter, LSD w/ 3.76 gears, and possibly even nitrous oxide. I look forward to absorbing as much information as possilbe and contributing when I can!
