Well, the GS430 gained some weight compared to the GS400. According to Motortrend.com the 2000 GS400 tips the scale at 3,697lbs while the 2004 GS430 weighs in at 3,715. Not much, but im pretty sure that it MIGHT make a SLIGHT difference. But then again... it's only 18 lbs.

I went and test drove a 2004 GS430 at Carmax to see if there was a difference in ride, response, handling and there was that much difference. I though my 99 GS400 accelerated a lot better, no hesitation, though the ride of the 430 was smoother
