Default Can someone tell me if this bent front brace will be a problem?

not the best week for my GS. today when I was dropping my kids off at school I tried to park in the grass because there were no spots. What I didn't see was a parking curb in front of the grass. I drove over it and the car slammed onto it when I went to back up, the curb was hooked on my car and I was dragging it. so, with the kids in the car still, I had to jack up car and another guy helped me drag the curb out from under car.......

so here's what happened, it dented my front lower brace. one side is worse than the other.do you guys think this will affect anything, or should I not worry about it?

this side is not as bad....

In my limited knowledge about GS's I would say it shouldn't be any problem. It's just a brace, and don't think there's a lot of flexing going on where the dent is. Take this with a grain of salt, as Lexus suspension is something I've yet to research.

nah that's ok. that's just the front lcb. if anything it's just for minor handling. you can always get the trd or toms front lcb. full replacement, lol

thanks Henry. If I get the TRD, will it bolt right up? I thought I remembered reading about a lower brace that clears 300s but needs washers for the V8s. Is this that brace or am I thinking of something else?

Chuck, that's for the front strut tower brace... the one you damaged is the LCB lower chassis brace.

Time for an upgrade. OR someone who has upgraded probably would sell their OEM for cheap if you post a WTB

Right on. I will have the TRD LCB on in about a week. Get the TRD if you are changing it out, might as well upgrade. Wish I had it on so I could tell you about any gains or tightness from the mod.

where'd you get it? I'm talking with Steve Ganz right now about getting a TRD.

It's $138.58

If i had a choice again, i would have chose the cusco instead of the TRD bar.

Darrel from Sewell Lexus. Sewell had them at clearance prices when I priced mine.

Edit...I didn't see them on the Sewell site

Looks like a RSB..not the LCB that Chuck needs.

actually, just to be sure. the tom's one do hit the trannny on some of the 400 and 430

but the trd, it clears everything no problem

chuck, time for mods!
