check maint history through VIN?

who can i call to get maintenance history on a couple of prospective cars? i have the VINs. i tried Sewell and got passed along about 3 times until i got tired of waiting for someone to pick up

Can also just take them into your local dealer and go to the service dept. They'll normally just print you the service history on them for you.
