Default New guy,Need some help with my cd player

Hey hows it going guys well i just bought this 98' GS 300 and when i got home i found out that the Stock 6 disc cd changer doesnt work, i dont know if its the cd changer or the whole deck piece what can i do guys,and Cd's are like the only thing i listen to b/c i hate the radio.So when i try to play any cd the screen say's ERR 2,i have no idea what that means,and help would be great Thank you

that just happened to me, mine was working fine for about 4 months and then the other day it just stopped working, error4 should up on the head unit, when i took it apart i saw that one of the transistors was fried, its on the first circut board when you take the changer apart, im not sure if the 300's, and 400',s use the same changer or not, but if you look into it more its a little black 14 pin, its closest to the front of the changer, also i heard that it might just be jammed with a thinker cd, thats what i was hopen for but i wasent so lucky hehe

I know this sounds stupid, but when I first got my GS I loaded the CDs upside down. My other changer wanted them label side up and the Lex was the opposite. I flipped them over a few days later and all was good and I had no more errors.

The funny thing is that the same thing happened to me when I first picked up my GS.

I Just Took Mine Out From A 01 Gs300 If U Need One Let Me Know , Although Iam Not To Sure If The Plugs Are The Same...

out the disks in upside down? haha my brother was driving my car and tried to put a cd in the 6 disc and then after getting frustrated realized oh they go in upside down..
