Jeez how the heck did the minivan pull off something like that? Cut thru 6 lanes and not get hit by anything else....and then slam into your car...crazy!

About the airbags, I think for any car they're supposed to be checked every 5-7 years. The chemical catalysts and such break down after a while and are no longer active. Maybe the firing mechanism in your car DID detonate the chemicals but they were no longer active and therefore no reaction.

Airbags only pop if you are doing 30mph +

Let's just say there was a communication issue with the driver of the minivan...... What we could decipher, when her brother showed up was that she was in a hurry and needed gas. There is a gas station to the left when you are looking at the Starbucks, she apparently saw it at the last second and jerked the car to the right and lost control.

Regarding the airbags, I think I was lucky they didn't go off. While I was sore for several days it could've been worse had the bags went off.

I'll take some pics of my new ride and post them, if I can figure out how it's done!
