I posted a month or so ago in the classifieds looking for an actuator, and got like 15 people piggybacking on my thread also looking for actuators. I called Carson to see if they'd do a group buy, but they said "not this time." Maybe someone else might have better luck?

Red face Door actuator

Hey mine started acting up recently.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.

Does anyone know what a new one costs.

Also does anyone know how many hrs of labor it takes to install

Thanks
Ivan

I have a question about replacing the acuator. Are the original parts faulty? Meaning.... if I spend $250 on a new one are they designed so this problem does not re-occur??

these parts are not faulty, they are moving parts and like all moving parts, they wear down and then, die.

think about it, count how many times you lock and unlock your doors and multiply this by how old your car is. it will wear out eventually.

$250 - $350???? Mine is the driver rear door. I'd rather spend $350 on some new rotors or an Intake than a door actuator. I'm 6'4' - NO One sits behind me!!!!
