Well, i have noticed on the 7 series and maximas their roof moldings are chrome.On the gs it is black.This is the molding that goes from the front to the back on the roof.It seems that it is done with a sticker.Mine have started to come off a bit.Now, im wondering how would it look if i peeled therest off.What do you guys think??I could just polish it up and have polished roof moldings, probably a first on here?I cant believe it's a fricken sticker instead of paint!!!!!!

They use stickers instead of paint as a cost saving. They pay less in emmisions and also save time in the paint process by not having to follow that contour among other things. ( I work for the place that sells the "sticker" )
If you peel it off you'll need to protect it. Some are low grade stainless, some are aluminum, depends on the year and car.

Or, you could try and find one in chrome to simulate the 7-series and Maxima look, you described, earlier.

What specific model and year. I can check inventory to see if I have any service parts available. Sometimes we have a couple test sets. Most service parts are made in Canada or Mexico though. (cheaper for us)
