Got rid of the IS and bought an Aristo V300!
Hi folks, yet another member from the UK doing a quick intro!
I've had an IS for 3 years now and due to family circumstances needed to change to something a bit bigger - I was going to go down the boring family saloon route but then someone pointed me in the direction of an Aristo V300 Vertex Edition!
The rest is history, picked it up a couple of weeks ago, it's a 99 model, and I've now installed the clear sidemarkers and the 2001 onwards spec light clusters to tidy up the exterior a bit, and in terms of other mods the car has had a bleed valve fitted to the boost line as well as colder spark plugs and a different exhaust system fitted.
Supposed to be kicking out 350bhp at the moment, no idea where the torque figure is sitting, but it's pretty quick - definitely a wolf in sheeps clothing!
Anyways, just thought I'd pop up a quick intro, I've been having a look around here as now I need to forget all my IS knowledge and start getting up to speed on the GS and Aristo lines!
Already followed the guides on here to do the chrome grille mod, looks nice while I'm trying to figure out which aftermarket grille to go for - not really a fan of the Lexus Sport one so taking my time on this one!
This thing is a bit of a wolf in sheeps clothing so I may even end up just buying one of the newer style Lexus standard grilles and fitting that to the car!
You've all seen these cars so I won't bother sticking up loads of pics, in fact I'm not taking any of the car until it's been to the bodyshop of some work, needs a back bumper respray to take off the logo etc and also some scratches to sort out!
Here are a couple of the pics from when I picked the car up - these have none of the mods done that I've done since I picked it up, also had the front windows tinted to 50% to balance it out a bit with the limo tints at the back!
Sure I'll be asking you all some questions at some point
