Tires and 20's on my gs.
What do you guys think about running 225/30/20 and 245/30/20 on my wheels. I have 20x8.5 +30 and 20x9.5 +25 wheels.
Currently have 245/30/20 and 255/35/20 Nitto Invos and they rub like crazy. I was running 225/35/20 and 245/35/20 Nitto 555 before and they rubbed in back a little. My main problem with rubbing is inside the rear wheel-well. Attached is a pic of the place that it rubs. Anyone have any suggestions?

i have 275/30 in the rear, and my car sits really low. mine doesn't rub in the back at all, offsets are almost exactly like yours too. can you cut the tab off? or does it have a reason for being there?

Ahh com' on Mike, you got to post some nice pictures of the whole car with those wheels
Well, if 245 is rubbing already, 255 will definitely rub even more.
I've seen mcgong's wheel with the 245 rear and they are streeeetched.
Somebody will help you on the offset thing, but:
1. Shave that fender/area where it rubs.
2. Different tires where the sidewall are more rounder and curved in vs. the square ones. Are nitto squarish?

the sidewall isn't rubbing at all. It is the part of the tire that touches the road. When the car dips on the freeway, it hits this back part of the fender well. I guess I could take the piece out, but then the bottom of the bumper is connected to it and it also serves as a splash guard. Behind the piece, is a a weld point for the fender too. Anyone else have this issue.

quick question. what type of suspension are you running thats allowing your car to dip so low when you hit bumps? im running 275 30 20s (nitto 555s) in the rear and i have no wheel well gap (top of tire is about even with the bottom of the fender) and when i hit bumps it doesnt hit... i have l tuned springs and shocks... just wondering if a possible bad/floaty suspension could also be the source of some of your problems as well as the offset? (my rear offset is 40mm)

I am running 1st Gen Tein CS with Daizen Sways. If I tighten up the dampers all the way, the back rubs more than if loosen them to a 10 setting. I think I need to include a better pic, it is not really a tab that I can bend back. Is there anyone out there that has this problem. I ran a 245/35/20 on a 9.5 inch rim and the tire is stretched so the diameter of the tire should be lower, and still rubbed in the rear.
