there are no chips for lexus vehicles. the ones you see on ebay are fake. you can tune a little w/ safc and there is a ecu piggy back chip for srt intakes, but that's it.

correct, no chips or ecu thus far, none at all. a lot of those "ebay" stuff is nothing more than a resistor

Neither one is going to yield you much power increase...Save your money and spend it on the suspension.

srt intake/ecu is shown on dynos to give up to 30whp.

I'd just get it for the sound more than anything

Could you please post those dynos from independent owners showing 30HP increase? If you are talking about the dynos on the SRT website....well...

LOL! chuckb - You and I are like soul brothers. I guess we both have this passion to enlighten the folks that there is absolutely no ECU tuning worth paying money for...sad, but true...

I actually think this "no chipping neccesary" thingy applies to most high-hp Lexus and Toyota

Nope, infact people said their cars felt the same if not a little more responsive. I wasnt preaching about its performance, just putting in some info on a product that a large portion of crsx members own. In my opinion, if you want more performance out of the GS the best bet is a TC with a header/exhaust system.

I have had my car with and without the SRT, and I am very certain that I gained nowhere close to 30rwhp. Sounded good though!

i'm one of those who had an SRT. Sold it quickly because I do a lot of city driving. I felt like I had less low end and only a bit more power on the top end. Since I dont WOT my car, it was a waste. One purchase I regret
