The hks hood would just change the whole look of your car from clean elegance to aggressively clean. You would definitely need to change out the front bumper to something more aggressive so that it will flow with the hood and mean intercooler that going to go in that mouth. Just my opinion. Good luck man.

I would go for the engine swap first. Get that major work done first and then clean things up. The hood does nothing for you right now (bluelex post), after the engine swap you may need a vented hood. I'm voted no for the reasons above not because I don't like the style of the hood.

I would get the 2JZ swap first. If you don't have problems with underhood temps being too high, then I would leave it clean.

I have the Kansai hood and it definitely helps to cool the engine espescially when you are cruising. I like it but would prefer another look. BTW you will need to change the front bumper if you want to get the most out of your intercooler and get air going to the radiator.

Gimme a call. I may want to sell my hood because........... maybe another one off custom mod................... I know I am not in my right mind as I can't seem to keep things on my car too long.

Ricky, if you feel like shipping that hood, we can work something out for exchange on the tranny.....let me know.

My opinion on the original post, if you dont have under hood temp problems after the swap, leave it stock, its cleaner. Now me on the other hand, I got heat, so I need one.....unfortunately.

Default I'll take it.....

Ricky,

If you decide to sell the hood and are willing to ship, I'd take it off your hands if Jeff doesn't jump on this....... back to the topic I would keep it like it is unless you're drawing up alot of heat and the other hood would solve your problems. Like "lexusondubs" said get ps and see how they look. GL with this but whatever you come up with I know it'll like nice either way.

Anyone hear of the TOM'S hood? Looks like the HKS single vent, but slimmer, more subtle...
