My headlights will not turn on, but only turn on in "Auto Mode"

Well another thread :/ . I guess I might as well get all my questions answered at once. I believe I started noticing this after my navigation stopped working, but I'm not sure. It hasn't bothered me enough, but I still want to fix it.
My headlights will not turn on when you turn it to "on". It'll only turn on when it's in "auto mode" and the sensor thinks it's dark outside.
I tried checking the fuses for any relays, but I don't see any.
Any tips? I know this is an unusual one.

Yeah, that means the lights, light sensors, & the auto mode of the switch are working. I would check the standard "on" position of the switch to be faulty. I have seen light switches, wiper switches, etc stop working when the contacts inside the switch loose solid contact. When you put the switch in the on position but the lights stay off, try to wiggle the switch a little higher or lower than just the "on" position. Sometimes it will kick on a little off center because of the contacts will graze each other. I think its the switch itself. But thats my theory.

It depends how deep you want to go. I have disassembled plenty of switches to clean / repair them. It could be a bad contact or a bad wire. I pull the switch and check wires with a test light. But you need a wire diagram. I dont have nor do I know where to get one. Its posible to fix it but the switch should be under $100. So If your into this kind of thing fix it. If you dont want to deal with it buy a new one. Again thats IF its the switch.

Oh wells, I don't wanna get too involved. I can always turn on the headlights by having an object block the light sensor.
It's been like this for over a year, I'm just lazy to ask. Actually I think I did before with no one replying.
I'm sure this is not a common problem.

my foglights are kinda doing something similar. When the fogs are on, and I use the turn signal the fogs go haywire and start flashing. i felt that the switch itself is kinda loose. I compared with a buddy's GS400 and his was not loose at all. i noticed that if I push the fog light switch all the way up it cuts off, if i wiggle it back it comes on. I guess I have to tighten the switch or replace it. Does anyone know how to dissassemble the stalk/switch?

Is there a specific headlight relay fuse? I checked both the fuse boxes in the engine bay: one next to the battery and the other one on the driver's side. Unless there's one in the cabin that I don't know about.

Even in the daytime? There's probably sometime wrong with the light sensor then?
