In the RX300 forum, one member used the right scoket to grab the motor shaft and by using a drill to spin it, moved the seat to a position of his liking.

Not a fix, but can make your driving comfortable.

Cool thanks Dipil, Bill, since the passenger seat does not have memory does the wiring diagram you provided differ much for the passenger seat? Just wondering...D

Actually there is a different diagram listed. I'll throw up some pics for that one tomorrow. Is it the same year? 99 GS300 pass side seat?

Thanks Bill, I have an 02 GS300, I know the ECU changed as of 02 but I dont' think too much else changed, I'll check it out..thanks again...D

Just checked, there are no differences for the 02 from the 99 pass side wiring.

Thanks Bill, as an aside, where do you get your Tech info and wiring diagrams that you are posting here. I'm looking at either techinfo.toyota.com or alldata--just looking for some reliable diagnostic and troubleshooting info...thanks for you help...D

Sorry to bounce an old thread but wondered if anyone had resolved this problem at all?

Which is the motor that controls the up / down function please, anyone know? Is it easy to swap the motors over or is it a seat out and leather off job?

Put the replacement front seats in my car today and having this exact problem now.
