Default No Uppy Downy Drivers Seat

TheUppy Downy function in the Driver's seat in my '99 GS 300 stopped working. I removed the seat checked for loose and rusty connections and contacts, seems perfectly OK. The sliding and reclining are working perfectly. The seat motors are also working and the switch also works when tested on the other seat. Need suggestions.. will fix it myself with help from a Lex mechanic.. Thanks in advance.. Dipil: confused:

Dipil, I posted the exact same question in a forum and have not received an answer either...it's my passenger seat not my drivers. Did the same as you, removed seat, checked connections, no rust, all connectors are tight...I couldn't tell if the motor was working because when I hit the buttons for up and down the motor wouldn't engage at all. I figured that particular motor was fried while the others were still operational(seatback, and forward and reverse motors are fine). I'm interested to hear what anyone with a similar experience has to say...D

Just a question. Did either of you try and oppearte the seat and test for power at the motor? You said you tried the switch in the other seat, so you kow that's good. If you test for power you will be isolating the motor or seat ecu.

Dipil, send me a PM. At work tomorrow I will get the wiring diagram for the seat. Hopefully that will help you. You have a 99 GS3, right?
