How do I access to the Nav. diagnostic screen (or the audio subwoofer settings) on my '02 GS430 ML?
I followed a procedure described in othe threads, but it seems that the procedures is for 98-00 GS400 with Nav.
1.) Set the key to ON position.
2.) Press CLIMATE and AUDIO semultaneously.
3.) Turning the light switch to OFF, TAIL (PARK) three or four times.
I followed this procedure, but it did not work for my '02 GS430.
Anyone has any idea?
Thanks,
Bandgap

While stopped, in park, etc....
Push the MENU button, then DVD...
Tap top left corner of screen, bottom left, top left, bottom left, then bottom right.
You should then get a blue menu screen w/ many nav options, which includes the important OVERRIDE button so you can do NAVI stuff while the car's moving. Hold down the OVERRIDE button until it changes color, then hit BACK button.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, UberNoob for the parking brake tip.
With the parking brake pushed down, I now can access to the Nav. Diagnostic screen. So basically, the procedure is:
1). Get into the car, close all door, windows up.
2). Push down the parking brake.
3). Turn key to ON position.
4). While holding down CLIMATE and AUDIO, turn the light switch to OFF, TAIL (PARK) a few times.
5). A screen shows up like below.
6). What's next?
Does anyone know how to read Japanese?
It seems that I cannot get to the hidden menu to adjust the subwoofer level for GS430 with Nav., ML.

I've been wondering the same thing. I liked the improvements I was able to make on my old '00 GS300 using that same menu. I hope the same exists on the 01+. I've read something before about pressing "special" locations while in the Display menu but the instructions were very unclear.

I also got that hidden override menu working. Beside the override, is there any other function that is usefull?
I would love to pump up my subwoofer a bit, but it seems an impossible thing for 01+ GS430.
