No, thats not the only reason. The ones for the GS are very very high quality. I've seen some of those $100-150 sets of aftermarket LED tail lights and I was not impressed. Many of those develop condensation issues and LED's burn out rather quickly. The LED tails for the GS are of much higher quality, hence the price. Their markup is probably about $50-100, and not the $250-300 everyone thinks it is.

BTW: That link you have set to is a 4 piece set like the ones I have on my car right now. If you buy the 2 piece set, it's more than $100 less. Factor in the higher quality of the piece VS the chrysler one that's only 2 pieces as well and you will see that the premium isn't that much more.

I get what you're saying Jeff but one guy has already posted one side of his lights have gone out already on the board..so much for high quality.

Jeff, does your set of 4 make the lamp indicator light go off? I already have a set of the Carson/Wise tails and it definitely needs the inners. I think the inners will set off the light. Any links to LED inners that do NOT set off the light? Any help would be appreciated

There aren't any inner LEDs that do not set off the lamp indicator. They can't fit a resistor box there because of the tight space in that area. So if you purchase the LEDs, inner and outer, it doesn't matter if the outers will or will not set off the lamp indicator light because the inners would anyways.
