Front seat middle armrest?
I have a 2000 Lexus GS300 Platinum Series with the gray interior, my center console arm rest is beginning to crack and show a lot of wear where my elbow rests on it. I took it to the Lexus dealer to have some other things done on the car and had them check out the armrest to see how much it would cost to replace or re-upholster the armrest. They advised me that a new armrest is $350, to re-upholster the armrest and replace the cushion inside is $225, or they can fix the cracking my meshing some leather there so it will stop cracking for $75. I decided not to have anything done yet, but has anyone had to deal with this yet? Any ideas on what I should do?

Leatherseats.com? They make the armrest covers for our vehicles as well as others, have someone else install it unless you can do the job yourself? By the way welcome to the family......

How is their (leatherseats.com) work? I just called and spoke with them, they quoted me like $95 (including shipping back to me) to completely re-upholster the armrest if I send it in to them. They did say the leather is a little different, it's more like what you would find on German automobiles. I'm wondering about how noticeable the different leather will be compared to the armrest leather for the rear seats? The price is great but I'm just very much a perfectionist when it comes to my car. Please advise and be very honest. Thanks a million.

If you say you're a perfectionist, you will want to go OEM and make sure it is identical. The leatherseats.com stuff is nice but if will be different. If you are going to go the leatherseats.com route you might just get the whole interior. You can tell the difference between the two.

Thanks for everyone's help. I found a place where I can get the OEM armrest for $280 instead of the $350 the dealer charges. I will probably go that route. Thanks again for everyones help with my center console armrest dilemma.
By the way I just had my new headlight assembly's installed because my old one's started to turn yellow on the inside. What a huge difference, car looks like it did when it was new!!! WOW!!!

I'm sorry but since I'm relatively new to the site who is Darrel Diller at Sewell Lexus? And where is Sewell Lexus?
The price I got was for an OEM armrest that regularly priced is $350 from the dealer for $280. What kind of discount does Darrell give club lexus members?

I have the same problem, but serious cracks in mine. Leatherseats wants $95.00, but they warned me that it WILL NOT be a perfect match in color and will be noticable. They also said the textures is NOT the same as OEM. I'm trying to find someone to sell me a used armrest instead.

Hey Lexcis, I actually called this place called TAP Recycling Inc, they carry used Toyota and Lexus parts (http://www.taprecycling.net/) and they had a used one they said was in very good shape (no rips) they wanted to sell me for $75 plus $10 for shipping. I decided not to risk it since I could not see it to determine it's condition. Instead I will be buying the OEM from Sewell Lexus of Dallas for $273 in the near future.
