the battery went dead and now i cant get the car to start, it turns over just fine, but wont start, and the only thing that works when the key is on is the power windows, nothing else works,the dash guages and or lights dont work, the trunk release button does not work, the gas door release button does not work, the power seats do not work. i have all 3 keys, i cant even get the alarm to go off when its locked. is there some kind of security system that needs to be reset?? please help????

well, i just had a problem in which my car wouldnt start and it was due to a LOOSE GROUND WIRE... not to the battery, but one of the other ground wires... idk where it was (mechanic found it), but that was my problem... maybe its yours as well good luck

welcome to the club! you probally do have loose ground.

do you have an aftermarket alarm in the car? possibly one that you thought was disabled but only the siren was cut. sounds like when you put in the new battery it reset this alarm, starter kill is preventing you from starting the car...look for flashing lights, this is a dead give away. simply unplug the brain from this old alarm.

the only thing that doesn't seem to fit the pattern is the accessories that don't work, might be unrelated...or i could be way off. anyway my 2 cents.
