Default Spray on window tint

Not sure if this is the correct place for this question or not, so if there is a better place, please move.

Has anyone ever heard of window tint that is sprayed on to the window? I have been searching for a local place to get my windows tinted and came accross this guy that sprays on the tint. It's a permenant tint and is just like factory tinted glass (so he says). I have never heard of it and know nothing about it. He can do different tones (bronze, black, etc...) and different shades of darkness.

If anyone has used it, I would like to hear an opinion about it. He is charging $250 for the entire car (no existing tint).

Thanks!

Richard

Never heard of it but you say that it's permanent tint. Don't know if you have intentions of tinting your front windows and the amount of darkness of the tint. To get permanent tint on your front windows and have them really dark and get pulled over by law enforcment, it doesn't look good. Still interested in hearing about this type of tint if it exists.

i think any spray would have issues with consistent thickness across the entire window. rich- you just bought that car man - don't get it sprayed!

just go to the toyota dealership and get it done for like $150.

Sounds too risky to me... i'll stick with the traditional route. Thanks for the comments!

i say u should stick to the film tint....like all spray material, it will not be perfectly even. you might get dark spot and some area. you can find a bunch of place that would tint ur windows for under $250.

That's funny, I was actually looking into a spray on tint for the windows in my house. One of my friends that owns a tint shop made the same refference.

BTW, I am looking for spray on only cause in a few months all my windows are being replaced, so I want a cheap quick fix to keep ou the FL sun.

I deffinetly suggest you find a local shop to use film on your windows.

I am going with film. Found a place that the local Toyota place uses. They are going to charge me $139.99 for the GS4 and $59.99 for the front 2 windows of my 4Runner.

Lifetime warranty and solorguard(?) film.

I've noticed my tint has a green tinge to it that complements the paint nicely. I'm not sure what colour your car is, but if there's a matching tint tone I would recommend it's worth it. I have 2 friends with silver TLs, and the one who has aftermarket tint is obvious.
