New Battery In Key Remote - Pics
OK, OK, this is pretty easy, but snapped off some pics for those of you who might be interested, or really bored.
So, I got tired of walking right up next to my car to having to unlock the doors with the remote, so I decided to change out the battery.
Lithium type - CR1616 (This info is also listed in your Owners Manual p.16) - about $3, out the door at your local Radio Shack.
The insides of the key were really dusty and dirty, so I wiped off the components with a damp paper towel after using an old toothbrush on them.
Enjoy

Sasha, you can check if the battery is ok with your multimeter.
The CR1616 will must have a volt reading of between 3.2 and 3.3 out of the box.
You will encounter problems once the voltage drops below the 3 volt mark.
Check the battery when you buy it because it will dicharge on it's own when it hasen't been sold in some time.

What about the newer remotes? I have a 2006 GS430... any ideas? I have searched the site and the only thing I can find are for the older remotes. Thanks in advance for any help!
