Bummer, considering the cost of the locksmith and replacement parts it might of been cheaper to break out the little window in one of the back doors You kept the spare key in the glove box?

Haha lol. I had to fishhook the door twice when I left the keys in the car. The first time I left it in the driver's seat so it opened.

The second time was last week. I left it in the trunk while installing the rear stb. Once I got into the car, I can't open the trunk because the alarm won't allow it :urowned:

I had to call a third party company (that Lexus recommended) to make a "Mechanic's key" that only opens the car but doesn't start the engine. Cost was $45 and it weighs very little and fits in wallet.

Well if you think about the labor of it too I guess. The rear quarter glass is like intergrated into the car. The windows can be easily removed and replaced.

At either rate, MAKE A SPARE KEY. I had a spare key, but it was used in the remote starter thing.

I shouldn't talk though, I don't even have a spare key. I've been living in fear of this happening for the last 3 years.
