I'm just finalising the install of my Defi guages in my Aristo MK2, and I need to find a switched 12v for the ignition source and also an illumination source when the lights come on.

I'm assuming the connector will be the same in the Aristo MK2 as in the GS MK2.

Seeing as the cigarette lighter becomes active when the ignition is started and also appears to have a light in there I'm guessing that the harness plugged into the cigarette lighter assembly can be tapped into.

Do any of you have the wiring information for the harness to say which wires I should be tapping into please, or at least recommend which colours are the ones I'm after?

I've done a search but I'm not sure if the UK terms are different as I can't find the information I'm after!

the cig lighter is fine for the switched power, the ilumm is a little harder but all you need to do is pull the factory radio out. with a multimeter test the wireing harness for the wire that is +12 when you turn the lights on only. tap into that wire and your set. good luck

Thanks for the quick reply - just wondered if you could tap the illumination connection into the harness for the connection that powers the light which lights up the tray when the lights are turned on?
