In a rear wheel drive application, staggered wheels give more grip for rear wheel launches and also gives better control and handling for the car

it helps to stabilize the rear. so you wont spin, as easily, on turns. and it helps to get more power to the ground. oh and BTW ... IT LOOKS BETTER.

is everyone that responded with an answer running bigger wheels in the back?

is the poster talking about diameter or width?
it is a little vague to me...

-just a side note
...if you're talking about diameter then id say no...
...if you're talking about width then disregard what's said above...

I believe he is talking about staggered setups

19x 9 and 19x10

20x9 and 20x10

or whatever size you are running. I was thinking about this today, I might see if I can run 19x10or11 up front and the same in the rear so I can rotate

Can't you get slightly better highway mileage too? Iunno, just a guess.

With larger diameter, you can get higher top end speed. You get better traction for hard launches. Oh...and they look good.

But... you won't be able to rotate your tires, so you'll have to pay for new tires more often.

... or you can just get your tires flipped every 5-7k miles, like i do. and they look good

all over again... I think we discuss this long time ago....

but for me, it looks good!!!!!!!!!

But what if he was asking different diameter of the wheels... like some of the running 17' in the front and 18' in the back...
or 19' and 20 in the back.... and think it is performance reason then, since smaller wheel in the front can make turning the wheels in front a lot easier...

example, corvette, ferraris and Labo...
