Default TRD STB will NOT fit my 98 gs400..is it tweaked? help?

hey guys. im having a bit of a problem here. bought a trd stb from "gspeed" in the classifieds (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=242711) a couple weeks ago. this thing will NOT fit. i have a 98 gs400 which this bar was promised to bolt right on to. a friend of mine has the identical car and stb and in an effort to double check to see if i was just crazy or stupid, we removed his and it dropped right down on top of the bolts and fit perfectly on my gs. the one gspeed sent me "looks" ok but when you go to set it down over the bolts there is atleast a half inch or more space from where the bolt is and where the holes in the stb is to attach this thing. no matter how you try to do it, left side first, ride side first, or both at the same time, one side of it is way too far off to even force it on... i even tried jacking up the car to give the suspension some play (knew that wouldnt do anything but it was worth a shot) and obviously that didnt help either....im assuming i was sold damaged goods from a wrecked car...which would explain why this thing is tweaked beyond use...but im posting here as a last resort to make SURE im not doing something wrong before i "try" to get my money back from gspeed... ill post up pics later on when im back at my place and have access to a camera... thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Well how'd the install go? I got mine in smoothly after jacking up the car high enough to push the shocks down freely.

Default Nothing wrong with the STB

Absolutely nothing wrong with the STB I sold you dude. It just takes a little tinkering to get it on. Its a well documented issue.

both ends of the stb near the back two bolts on each side were bent upwards and had cracks in the metal from stress. after i saw these bends i pretty much gave up. i just got back from the garage where we had straightened it back out which allowed it to bolt up. a pain in the ***, but i guess it works for now. thanks.
