gotta assume the 6 cyl is working harder to tug around that weight which an 8cyl naturally consumes more to make more (power).

I get about 20 with my 400. I've gotten better, but this is with some leisure and sport driving per tank. I've read some posts of people reporting 24(!) regularly. These real world numbers mean the most. We just need some 300 numbers and you have your answer.

With my GS300, on long highway trips, no matter if I do 50-60 or 70-80 the whole way I always average 28.x miles per gallon. In town it's more like 17 or so though, so it all balances out.

For real! Best I ever get just driving to school and back was like 15.5 mpg. Sometimes it goes up if I'm cruising which'll help average out the lower mpg's.
If I get 20mpg cruising, consider that a milestone.
I don't know how you guys that's getting 18+ CITY DRIVING does it.

I'm getting about 20 mpg in the city with general expressway driving and regular city driving. I've never checked it on long trips as we only use our minivan for that. When i take it somewhere far i will check the gas mileage and report back. Anyone lower than 18mpg's in the city with a calm foot needs to get the fuel filter replaced, air filter replaced, plugs replaced, etc.

I get 20mpg on my 2000 GS3 with a 50/50 mix of city and highway...
I recently changed my oil to Mobil 1 0w-40 and I've noticed my gas mileage increase a bit...I'm still on my first tank of gas since the shift but I'm averaging about 22mpg now...
