Default Couple of questions + Pics 56K = death

Okay so I have been doing some research and haven't found the exact answers I was looking for so I thought I would ask some questions on here

99 GS300

1. Does anyone know which springs and struts would be closest to stock ride?

2. The new LS 460L has a HDD navigation system (Why they decided to go back to a HDD instead of DVD i dont know) Wondering how impossible it would be to make it work on the 98-00 GS navi units. I'm looking into it some more but i'm assuming you'd need the entire unit as one. The hard drive interface should be the same so i'm trying to figure out why it wouldnt work.

Here are some pics of my car after a wash, Mods are definitely coming

I would say KYB-GR2 shocks with Eibach springs would be the closest to stock ride. If I am not mistaking those are both re-badged L-tuned ones.

Looks like washing your car caused it to start raining (last pic).
Why does this always happen?!?

BTW, nice looking ride!

haha although your right and it does happen, the raining pic is the day I picked it up, the clean pictures are a couple of days later, thanks though. Took a while to polish up the headlights and get all the moisture out, not sure if you can tell but the drivers side headlight still had quite a bit in it, it's fixed now though

I think Eibachs are supposed to be progressive. And I doubt they are stock ratings.

L-Tuned/KYB & Esperil (sp?)

I read in a lot of threads the Espirel springs have stock ratings (which I hate :/ ).

White GS, that's hot! Wished I could've found that color when I bought mine.

Aren't Espelir lowering springs? I thought they give you more than 1.5" drop, and that wouldn't be close to stock already.

L tuned setup = KYB GR2's + Eibach springs...

if your budget isn't tight i suggest you go with coilovers..you'll be happier in the end.

Also check here for additional info if your going the spring route.
There have been tons of threads regarding this.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I think I will most likely go with the Tein CS' if I decide to go the coilover route.

No one has any input on the navi system from the new 460 huh?

Here's another question though, anyone know how to make the pearl stand out in your paint?

I'm gonna post a DIY complete with pics and writeup on how to remove the moisture from your headlights (Without baking them and taking them apart and re-sealing them) along with before and after shots of the Meguiars PlastX working it's magic.

Nice pics!

I would have to say L-Tuned would be the most similar to the stock suspension.
