'02 GS430 Heated Seats not working
My car's heated seats, both driver and passenger, are not working.
The switches light up when I turn them on, but the seats don't get warm at all. I check the Seat Heater fuse and it's not blown.
Does anyone have any idea how to troubleshoot this? I've searched but could not find any good info.
Thanks,
Bandgap.

Maybe the actual seat heater element (pads) in ur seats finally took a crap
I mean the only way to tell is if u trace the power circuit, you know. Power to the switch, from the switch to the connector under the seat. if its all good then ur seat pads are toast ( no pun intended)

I think you're absolutely right. I have the same complaint with the heated seats. I leave them on at all times, but they just don't get warm enough (or really warm at all). As the weather has turned colder here in Chicago, I've noticed that the heated seats have all of a sudden come to life. I suppose it could just be the temperature differential (i.e., it's colder in the car, which makes the seats feel warmer), but I don't think so.

Same with mine in the '01 GS. They get warm not matter what the temp, just have to turn them on. I do wish I had a thermostat type control like the new models do, they are eother on or off.

Don't assume anything. Either one of the GS wizards here will chime in or you could contact Lexus. Not sure if the owners manual says anything about the heated seats being temperature sensitive.

The heated seats are somehow linked to the outside temperature, because they do not work in the summer, but around early october when it starts getting cooler they start working again....
