The install looks great almost factory. Looking at placing mine where ash tray is. Don't smoke so it won't be missed.

Yeah, I got it all figured out, finally. Just want to say thanks to you James. For those that don't know, I got the EDFC from James. It was a deal that worked out for both of us. I hope they get this thing with your air runners ironed out. Hopefully I'll see you Sunday.

Default EDFC Install?

How much work was involved in this project? I like the creative spot you selected. Send me a pm on what tools I need to do this? Thank's in advance.

PM sent Wringo, sorry it took so long for me to respond.

For those who are also interested, here is a copy of the PM I sent to Wringo.
This project is very DIY friendly. Especially if your handy. This is a prime spot for the EDFC, IMHO. Very accessable and very easy to see.

You just need a dremel tool, (The bits I used are a tile grout cutting tool that looks like a drill bit and a carbon cutting wheel.) and diagonal cutters(dykes).

The mocha colored plastic piece, in the pic, just below the Dremel tool, is what I cut out of the slot where the EDFC is now. It is where the dimmer control switch, with the factory LED, clips into. Just pry out the sides with a small screwdriver and the dimmer switch will slide out. Once you cut this out and trim the areas needed, you can test fit the EDFC. It will be a TIGHT fit. As the EDFC is about 1/8 of an inch wider than the slot/opening. You can squeeze the EDFC in because the material on the dash is rubbery.(is that a word? ) When you test fit the EDFC, you will see that it is not flush with the vent as the vent is angled towards the driver. You will now see what you have to cut off, with the carbon cutting wheel, on the inside of the dash, immediately to the left of the EDFC. I just cut as close to the back of the opening, for the EDFC, with the cutting wheel and trimmed it from the dash with a pair of diagonal cutters. It fits so snug in there that I did not need to attach the EDFC to a bracket.
Let me know how it goes,
-Will

Nice job Will

I popped that piece out once but didn't know if the edfc would fit b/c I didn't know how wide or deep it was.
As a matter of fact, I haven't even seen an edfc live in person

Now my questions are answered
