In about a year, I plan on selling my 95 ES300 and buying a 2000 - 03 GS. The main thing I really want is the DVD nav and it's a pretty high selling point for me. Are they only in the 430 models?

Right, but only 01+ models. He mentioned in his post that he was looking for an 00-03 GS. The 00 GS300 would have a hard drive nav.

Lexus updated the Nav to DVD in 2001 but then improved it again in 2002. No major changes in 2003.

I bought a GS without the nav and will buy a handheld device like the Garmin Nuvi. That way the nav follows me from car to car and can also play MP3s.

Also, this will save money and you do not have to worry about the LCD screen in your dash going out.
