Default Fenders Roll Up!

How many of the CL members roll up their front/rear fenders? or no one does it? Just curious to know whether this approach will solve the tire rubbing issues?

There are so many other factors to take into account before rolling fenders, ie. offsets, rim width and tire sizes. Depending on how agressive the fitment is will let you determine whether or not you need to roll fenders.

I did my fenders. The fronts I rolled with a bat and the rears I trimmed the black lining off the inside edge of it, my friends did the rears and I thought they rolled them until recently! I don't rub at all, check the link below.

TEIN HA all the way down
Wheel offsets
Front: +28mm w/5mm spacer
Rear: +22mm w/no spacer
Tire sizes & wheel widths
Front: 225/35 on 19x8.5
Rear: 245/35 on 19x9.5

Heres a link of recent pictures of my car...hope this helps

When you roll the fronts, where does the plastic liner bolt up to?

It just rolls in. The tabs roll in and its stretches, atleast maybe I was lucky cause thats how it played out

Nice Supra btw, keeping it old school with the kit. Is it authentic VS?

you can not roll up rear fenders, all you can do is cut them.

ya i tried rolling the rear fenders with my friend, its VERY HARD TO DO IT

you would need to apply excessive force that would probably break your quarterpanel

i would suggest you shave them, thats what im going to do tomorrow.

What do you mean by shaving?

Well my rear tires 275/35/18 Dunlop SP9000 seem on rub the black panel lining (underneath the fender) whenever i'm going on normal speed dropping onto a unlevel road. This never happened when i was using my old tires Bridgestone GIII Potenza which sidewall seems to be more narrower than a Dunlop SP9000

You grind it down with an air saw. That's what I did on my Supra. As to how far you'd go, just cut it all the way. Make sure to finish it off with some underbody spray. I forgot what it's called, but it'll prevent the paint from further chipping and rust.
