Well you could get the 300 and use the extra $5,500 to turbo it and be just as happy if not happier. But if you don't plan on going turbo then I'd say get the 400 and call it a day.

Wow 10,500? That is a deal. I could of had 3 Gs400's in 2000 if they went for that price. Good luck

So many have had regrets after purchasing a GS300. Not many will turbo it though the dreams of doing so convinces them to get one over a GS400. So few actually go through with it. Plus the fact that a 400 badge carries a bit more stature for some than a 300 badge. Both great cars. A clean GS400 with around 90k miles can be had for 10K nowadays if you are patient. A white GS400 sold at a local car lot that appeared pretty clean with clean title with 97k miles for $9999 and some change. Good deals are out there for those that can wait. Otherwise 11-13k for a 98 would be about right.

GS300 w/82k miles for only $10,500, especially in california? That's a deal of the century. lol.

$16k for the GS400 sounds right. I'd haggle the price down to $15k though

just bought a 98 GS4 (with help from my boy SoCal VIP - thanks, bro!). it's definitely got some giddyup. he knows a thing or two about Lex and advised the V8 all the way. black on black with 64K miles for $14,5. pretty sweet. ;-)

Hi group. I'm a current LS430 owner and currently looking for a 2GS for my wife as her daily driver and once in a while mine, when the LS430 is staying in the garage. I doubt that I will be going the turbo way if I do decide to go with a GS300 but considering gas prices, driveability, realibility, is the GS400 the way to go?

I am planning on minor mods (suspension, wheels, exhaust) if that matters. Thanks in advance.

and will cost you $7-10K more PLUS leave you broken down or in the shop a whole lot more often Some may find this the best option, but IMO for 95 percent + a reliable daily driver with some power is perfect.
