I hate my car now....Just to let you know.
Actually, the Advans ride extremely well, much better than I expected.
They are quiet and have no tracking or tramlining issues. So far, so good!

The front and rear sidewalls are extremely short. Sometimes when I walk out to my car at night it looks like it has NO tires on it! One thing I like is that they are closer to the stock tire diameter, so it changes the gearing back closer to stock. The car actually feels a tiny bit quicker than it did with the 255/35-20 & 285/30-20s (which are about 1" taller than stock).

I did have to lower the car a bit more to reduce the gap. This makes entering & leaving driveways quite a spectacle. There are some places I just can't go with this car. Here is the driveway to my office: the bumper clears by about 1/2".

That's going to be his next major mod - he's dropping in the 4.6 liter motor and 8-speed tranny from the LS460 and then adding a super charger to it. (sorry for letting the cat out of the bag Bob! )

C'mon, no supercharger... twin turbos!

Seriously... before I get "into" the engine, I definitely want to finish my MR2 project. The 4-AGE engine is basically finished and has pistons, rods, valves, cams, a T-28 ball bearing, air/water intercooler, Electromotive TEC-II, individual fogger "wet" nitrous sysem, limited slip, flywheel, clutch, etc. I just ordered D2 coilovers for it so I can slam it - the fenders need to be pulled a bit to cover the huge 18" wheels and I can't get the ride height right with the engine & transmission out of the car.

The Mister should cure my "need for speed." I only drive the GS about 60 miles a week, so how fast do I really need to go?

I'll get a few engine pics. I need one more driver to do the motion shots. My dad will be in town this weekend, I'm sure he'll oblige! (Dad loves the V8!)

Wise decision. The MR2 is the real sports car in this company.

Bob,
too bad you couldn't show your car at the VIP show. As far as them not letting in non-VIP cars, I can say there were a lot of genuine VIP Lexus there, but a few other cars that had no business being there as well, i.e a 60's VW beetle.

Sweet paint job. 10k would be a good price for that kind of paintjob/bodywork

Even though its not my style, as an enthusiast, I cannot help but sit back and admire it. The car has a striking presence
