I like VIP cars like TLW's but I'm not a fan of that extreme VIP with widebody, curtains, and crazy stretched tires with crazy negative camber. I like a car dropped but I'm not a big fan of how it looks slammed to the floor. So I guess I'm inbetween.
My thoughts exactly.

I can't stand the widebody, curtains, window visors, coat hangers, stretched tires, slammed below ground level, all kinds of doodads and knick knacks in the car like the girls car that had 5 screens in the front and figurines all over the car spread like confetti.

If it is a personal taste of fashion, then I don't like that fashion. Doesn't make it wrong, I just don't like it personally.

I prefer subtle, classy, clean and practical styles. SoCalSC4's, bluelex's, DaveGS4's, Rominl's, RMMGS4's cars are perfect examples of such cars.

To me, the VIP style is very subtle and clean. Sometimes it looks too bland on certain cars though. As an observer, I respect the styling. I probably wouldn't take my car down that route. The daily drivability issue would be a major concern. VIP car = lots of $$$ for parts. I could never justify paying $1400 for some JP tails, etc.

I basically like VIP style with the bumpers, kits, agressive offsets and slammed stance. Hameed is right, however, sometimes too much stuff (like do-dads in the interior) can be borderline... dare I say it?... Rice.

I respect the style, but chose not to follow it myself because I've basically seen the look "done" already. Why would I want my car to be a twin of another car in Japan?

The only other issue I have with VIP is the air bags... the cars look cool when parked (because they are slammed), but most guys on air drive the cars at a pretty high setting. I like mine low all the time... with coilovers, I know exactly how the car looks at any given moment, and the car looks cool going down the freeway as well as when it's parked.

Also, I am somewhat of a performance nut, and like to ocassionally hammer my car... so far, I haven't had any experience with an aftermarket air bag system that allows the car to handle as well as a car with well-paired springs & shocks.

VIP is cool, but everytime I see a new VIP modified car, it seems like I've already seen it before.

In some of those pics the rear wheels look ridiculous. It seems really stupid to me to do that to the rear wheels, plus it doesn't even look good. Most of the other stuff on those cars looks OK to me though

I like VIP because it's rice.
But with style.

I think that's an intriguing system... but we (those of us in the USA) don't have any experience with it. Considering that one can buy a used 98-04 GS for $10K-$25K now, $5K is a serious chunk of dough to spend on suspension.

Roughly about three times more than what I would care to spend on suspension!

Pretty much this thread was to see how many people actually think its cool, regardless if they plan on doing it to their cars or not. Just wanted to see.
