I had 35% on my front windshield and 20% on the sides windows and on the back windshield. It look really nice until I got pulled over for having tint on the front windshield. The cop asked me if I knew that was illegal to have tint on my front windshield? and of course I said no officer and then he said well it is and its a $500.00 fine. So then he ran my license and everything can back fine and he notice that I have a CDL and he wrote me up a 10 day repair order and sent on my way.

yup. if i were you id do 20% all around, including the front windshield. i mean **** it, who cares. i had 20% on my last gs and on sunny days you could barely even tell it was tinted at all. just tinted my new gs 5% all around and hopefully when my friend (tint dood) is in a really good mood i can convince him to do my front window 20%.. he doesnt care about doing it, its just a serious pain in the *** compared to the rest of the windows on the car.
side note: if you are worried about being able to see... the tint guy i just mentioned did his front windshield on his truck with 20% (thats the shade right before 5% or what people refer to as "limo") and i went for a ride with him late that night. visibility is not impaired, the only thing i did notice was that there was zero glare from oncoming headlights, people with highbeams on were completely tolerable. but make no mistake, its illegal i believe in almost ALL states to tint your front windshield ANY percentage.. and here in NY you can technically only have your front windows tinted 70% or lighter, which is an absolute joke. most cops wont harass you with 20% all around and you more then likely wont get pulled over and ticketed for it, unless you're already doing something stupid.

Some cops are **** and pull you over for tint even if your not doing anything stupid. Also depends on what car you have. In my 2001 Trans Am i would get pulled over once a month for tint. At 20%. Car makes a difference.

I did my GS with a 50% windshield and you can barely tell it is tinted. I went 15% on the sides and 5% on the rear windshield and have had no problems. I love the way it is dark but not too dark & i have driven beside cops & none of them even notice me
