I guess that's the risk we take but they sure look good when front and rear windows are tinted.

I usually base it on the color of the interior. If you have dark interior do 32%, the darkness of the interior will make it look pretty dark and still legal in most states I believe. If you have light interior do 20%, the contrast of the light interior will make it look a little lighter than it actually is.

Look at Forumula One film, Pinnacle Series. HAVE A 99 GS400 with NAV. Film is ceramic and does not block the GPS. I put on Pinnacle 50, cost about $246

You can get a identical film calles ATX from llumar in thier normal line. The formula one series is a up sell form dealers and is now offered in the regular line.

I've done alot of research on tints - For the best visual acuity at night and pleasing to the eyes in all light conditions I went with Formula One - Comfort Series 38% (its a dyed/ sputtered metal mix tint) and with factory tint already in the windows - my car metered at 29% just perfect if you ask me. I have NAV and no problems with Navigation. It really depends on your interior color too for the best outside appearance - My car is Alpine silver like yours with Grey interior..

I went with Formula one Ultimate Series 28% (Metalized tint) on my G35 though a bit darker but I actually like the 38% on my GS400 better for visual acuity at night..I also have NAV in my G35 and no problems with Navigation.

You could go Formula One Ceramic with absouletly no radio inference problems but the choices in tint shades are limited to 50,35, and 15.

Heres a couple Pics of my GS with 38% - plenty dark and can see great at night.

if u have navigation, or listen to your AM reception it is not recommended to go with a metallic tint. i own a tinting company and we carry a number of tints for this reason. we offer 3M carbon film and Llumar ATX. almost all new cars have internal antennas so the dealerships recommend these films. they do now make dyed films that have a lifetime warranty, however they dont perform well. the limo tint in the dyed film blocks out less heat than the light metallic/carbon/ceramic films. so its like youre getting limo performance in the front without it being SO illegal. also i dont recommend dyed because these are the once 5 year warrantied films that used to bubble and turn purple, they now just reformulated it and give it a lifetime warranty. not worth the risk. if you guys have any further questions about tint on any vehicle message me. ive worked with all of the major film companies. heres my car with 3M carbon 50% all the way around
