i got my windows tinted the 2nd day i got the car... its more of a privacy issue than anything. i like being able to throw my jacket in the back seat and not worry so much that someone can peer in to take a look. sure they can still see from the front 2 windows (i only tinted the back five), but every little bit of security counts.

Go with a Huper Optik tint film. It appears lighter than the others and offers superior UV protection & interior heat reduction. Costs a bit more than the standard metallic films. I have it on my car..

Of all the colors, I think White with a nice tint looks the best. It must be the contrast of black and white - it really makes it pop.

Just from your reasons, I think that you should get it; to keep your infant child comfortable.

id stay away from lumar films, over time they tend to bubble and change colors in certain areas. this also has to do with the quality of tint job done. i have 5% all around and 15% on my windshield. i used johnson film, i had the same tint on my toyota solara for 4 years and loved it.

Here's a familiar handle....

Far from the truth. Had you said that 5 or 6 year ago that would of been a different story. I hope for other drivers safty that you don't drive that car on public roads.

I always thought poor care and maintenance was the main reason for bubbled and/or discolored tint. Like ppl using cleaning agents w/ ammonia.

all BAD tint will turn purple and bubble regardless of the care taken. try to stay away from dyed film, extruded or not. you should use metallic, carbon, or ceramic.

metallic has metal in it and will block out a lot of heat but will interfere with signals like, AM radio, NAV, TPM's,. carbon is the same but wont interfere. and ceramic is a non interfering metal. some ceramic films only carry light shades, but llumar atx and formula one pinnacle go dark. 3M carbon CS IMHO looks the best and performs pretty damn good.
