If the tint contains metal then yes, it will interfere with GPS system.

I don't think it does, I've got tint and NAVI and haven't noticed a single difference in signal or radio signals.

Absolutely can cause problems if you use tint with metallic content, tons of threads with people complaining and having to pull the tint off for nav to work.

Just get tint w/o metallic.

Post tints!!!

i plan on tinting my windows tomorrow or this weekend and i have 2 places in mind.

place 1 - will tint for $180, uses llumar tint, comes with 3 year warranty

place 2 - will tint for $125, uses some unknown tint film (i think he said cyclin or syclin or something like that) but comes with a lifetime warranty. ive seen this place tint my cousin's and uncle's car and they looked pretty good.

so my question is, do i go with the well known llumar tint and pay more but get only a 3 year warranty or go with the lesser known tint but lifetime warranty and save money? thanks in advance

Are you doing different shades of tint on each window or just two different on front and back?

Oh ok, I thought from the thread title you meant you were doing different shades. If you want some nice tint try Huper Optik.

thats not really an option because i need tints pretty bad. ive heard huper optik is great but my only options at this point are llumar and the unknown tint. i wanted to know which sounds like a better deal for the price/warranty?

I'd just pay the extra for a brand + warranty.

"Tints"? What the hell are "Tints"?.....Oh you mean Tint.

How established is the lifetime tint place? If they are new I would be careful. They may close up shop before any of their customers can cash in on that warranty.

And if the three year place does not believe in their product why should you? Keep shopping for a respected shop with quality product that they believe in.

Ask them.

Option #1: "I know another place that charges $55 less and has a limetime warranty...why?" (Maybe he'll get closer or match the price)

Option #2: "I like the price, but hesitant about the brand of tint. How does you brand compare to Llumar?" (Maybe its another well-known brand that compares well)

Make them work for the sale!!
