v300,

Out of curiosity, what if you had just imported those parts that you had trouble w/ then would you have saved yourself a lot of the headache that's involved w/ the conversion? What I'm saying is, if you brought over the drive shaft, heater core, and A/C lines from a v300, or they won't fit on a US GS? Thanks.

Besides the obvious engine, tranny, ecu, fuel system there are still differences that make a JZS161 different from a JZS160. The location of the heater piping is different than that of the non-turbo. The heater core is the same. I could import the V300 driveshaft... will take like a month or more depending on availability. A/C lines have to rerouted regardless if you use a high efficiency front mount intercooler. There are a lot more intricate details that make a V300 a V300... but I don't know 100%. I know enough and I could start charging consultants fee for the information I have accumualted. Hmm$$$?

Call me very stupid. But I know little nothing about Lexuses. I've always been German-bred so to speak. I just bought my first Aristo today and ran outside to check on the badging as soon as I saw this message.

Yup, I got me a V300. I had no idea I had the same engine as a Supra TT. This was the last car in stock in my Imports dealership so I picked it up in a heartbeat, thinking it would make the perfect dailydriver since my current "show" car is below:

well I guess now we know I am going to own 2 "show" cars haahhaahah

Hey Richie, thanks! If you read the other posts, you will know that I had like a second with the car before it's sent out to the custom upholstery shop to get a complete interior redone.

I basically want an SC430 interior with the nice hand-stitched ucre (sp?) leather in that beautiful sexy coffee-color. God knows how much it's going to cost me, the guys at the leather shop won't even give me a pricetag, I just know it will be hella expensive.

So, I can't give you first impressions coz I've never actually tested the car.......yet.

Hahah...the location of my office kind of solves that problem for me - I walk to work every morning and it's only 5 minutes away. God knows I need the exercise hahaha.

It's great to wake up in the morning and see your two cars parked obediently as you walk out to tackle the rest of the day's battle .
