Default Removing headlights question:

Hello guys.

I did some search regarding removing the headlights. Most people said I need to remove the bumper. However chaskim and RMMGS4 were successful in removing the headlights without removing the bumper. I have a stock front bumper, so I should be able to bend the piece I guess. Has anyone else tried this? Thanks.

You don't need to pull it all the way off, just loosen it up a little bit so you have room to fit the tools to remove the bolts securing the headlights.

Default update

hey guys.

I tried to remove the headlights tonight without taking off the bumper.

Doesn't work.

Well I got all the bolts off from the lights, except for the one down under. For the passenger side I was able to get it off from the foglight hole, but the driver side had a water tank there, blocking the way. So I had to go in from the front wheel well.

BUT! Even with that, the headlights won't come off. The frame and the bumper is just too much in the way. I'll either crack the bumper of crack the lights if I tried to wiggle it out or something. Maybe because of the HID components? It just doesn't want to come out.

........ so in the end, I had to remove the bumper anyways.

well at least now I know where all the hidden bumper bolts are, so I can actually remove it much faster next time.
