Smile I Got It!!!

Hi everyone, I have been lurking on the board for about a year now thinking I was getting an RX 350. When I began my new career in real estate, I realized that I needed a more economical luxury car. I just bought a 2003 GS 430! It is black on black with navi. I love it. I just had a few questions for the veterans on the board. The car had no service records with it, so I know that i need to have it serviced, it has 85000 miles on it. My question is, if I have a great mechanic that I trust, do I really need to take the car to the dealership for service? Also, the car has paint swirls and nicks, will waxing take care of most of that? One more thing, the navi has a "voice" icon, how do i use that? Thanks everyone, I will post pix as soon as I can

Well You Know We'll Be Waiting For Those Pics Congrats On Your Purchase You Made A Very Smart Move... As Of The Service Goes I Would Personally Goto Lexus For Your 90k Service And Everything After That You Could Probably Use Your Own Judgement On Your Mechanic But Make Sure You Get That 90,000 Mile Service Done Or You Wont Be Very Happy With The Car Very Long. Btw Welcome To Cl

Congrats on the purchase!! Get some pics up for us to see. I too agree that the 90K should be done by a Lexus shop, one good reason is so that it shows on the car's history that Lexus maintains. The will keep the resale up IF you ever decide to move on.
