Yea I installed my new suspension, and while looking in the trunk, noticed that the metal rods that act as springs for our trunk have 3 tension points. The closer the rods are placed towards the rear, the more tension your "springs" will have. And the easier your trunk will open and stay up (wind resistance). It is a very minor difference, but I like it, feels more tight.

All you have to do is pop the left two clip push clips out, right two, and pull the carpet back some. They are right there, one bar on each side. You pull it out, and place it in the other slot. Done.

If you want more. There are two different options for the rods. Trunk with & without spoiler. If you have to replace them get the ones for a trunk with spoiler. Stronger rods to begin with.

Thank you.

I will try to remember over the weekend. But you really can't miss it if you pull back the carpet that goes from the forward part of the trunk to the middle. All you have to do it pull the two clips, one all the way on top in the middle of the side, and one towards the bottom. You will see a bar going down the side, with a hook in it. All you do, is pull back the hook, and move it to the more rear slot. It will take you litterally 3 minutes.

I actually had to reduce the amount of tension on my trunk.

And for those who add an aftermarket spoiler that is still too heavy with the spring set at the strongest hole setting, you can easily drill another whole further over and add even more spring tension.

I have the heavier RMM rear spoiler and my trunk has been holding up fine for 5 years now with this mod.

Cool, I thought I was the only one that decided to check out all the little peices of my trunk. I wish I knew this before. A while ago I was taking out the shopping from my trunk, and wind blew the trunk down on my head, I bled for a little bit. I think with will help reduce the chance of that now.
