the other night when i turned on my car, i realized half of the display on the stock radio had gone dark. everything else still works fine. is there a way to fix this or does the entire unit have to be replaced. it looks as if a bulb or something behind went out but idk. can anybody help me?

The only way to fix it is to take the radio apart. There are 2 small bulbs that light up the lcd. You have to solder the old one out and solder the new one in. Not sure where you can find the bulb, you may be able to put in a resistor and led. If you can solder and find the bulb the process isn't too bad at all. Just be very careful as the parts are really small. Hope this helps!
