Default Rapid clicks from turn signal

Recently, my 99 GS4 has been making these awful rapid paced clicking noises (sounds like they are coming from the dash) every time I flip my turn signal. I was hoping that someone else had experienced this before, so that I can learn what causes it, and how it can be fixed. It is just really annoying, and I want to try to fix it myself, before taking to the dealership.

Thanks guys

check your signal bulb (see if they work). It may be burned out (usually the case when you hear rapid clicking)

i always thought that if the blinkers blinked faster, a bulb was out...
but in my case the blinkers blink at a normal pace.

and the clicks are unpredictable, maybe 30%-40% of the time...

that's funny. i use my fingers to do a rapid click of the signal light on purpose. two or three quick clicks and i'm over in the next lane.

you might have a bulb that is intermittently failing or has a bad connection. double check, maybe just replace the bulbs first.

I have that problem rarely. I took it to the dealership one time and after that it did it when I put the directional on the rapid clicking would occure. Wiggled it and it went away but it has come back a few times. Not too sure what it is...

my es used to do the same thing, it was a bad connection on the front bulb from condensation in the headlight. if I smacked the light housing it would fix it.

have you guys checked to see if both bulbs were flashing when the fast click was occurring?
