Not sure how this happened but it was this weekend and I was driving the RX 400h loaner most of it so not sure of the details
BUT today, I am walking to my car to lunch and notice that the steel part of the hood between the grill and first headlight, it dented in with all the paint gone.

It could not have been a rock, b/c it DENTED the hood and this is a very strong hood. So someone had to hit it. Not sure if it was backed into or someone deliberately hit my car with something like a hammer or something.

Its not too bad, maybe 1" long but still, some bastard hit my hood and I want to go apepoo on someone...

Sigh....time to order a carbon fiber hood....

It was cold 2 weeks ago . Yeah got full coverage but why put in a claim for a small dent?

I ran into this once also, on my ES though. It ended up being a guy in a truck with a hitch. He was backing up and barely bumped the car but the hitch was the first thing to hit, and it created a small 1&1/2" dent on the hood.

Ouch...Sorry to hear about that Mike. Monthly parking time. I would never park my car in close proximity of other cars, because of situations like yours. Some people just don't care about other folks property. Your car will be like new with the repair Good luck.

yeh that aint cool...an there is no tellin where it happened..which makes it alittle worse...but u can always replace with bigger and better

DAM mike..i feel for ya... ididn't get hit but i got a ding on my door the other day from some idiot in a parking lot and i was heated... so i hear ya.

try parking in NYC and see how many dings you get when your not around...
